Whether advising you on how to do it yourself or contracting for our complete services, we can make the whole process easier for all concerned. When adult children live out of town or are busy with their own families and careers, Smooth Transitions™ can provide the support needed for a move. It can mean doing as little or as much as needed. We work with you and your family to find a new place, decide what to take, arrange for the move, unpack and have those household "leftovers" shipped, donated, sold or trashed.

About Me

When my grandmother had to leave her home of 60+ years, I volunteered to sort through stacks of newspapers, files, etc. that other family members just wanted to toss. I found old family photos, money, and jewelry that would have been thrown away. In 1999, I read an article on Smooth Transitions, an international-downsizing company, and thought, "You've already done this." When I retired from TWA, I was sorting through files and found the article. I now have a second career that I love. The thanks from the senior and their family after assisting them is so rewarding. That's why I feel it's more a mission than a job.
